I finished up the school year, saw some great music, rode some great trails and now I’m back in Oakridge, Oregon for the 3rd summer in a row. Last summer was so short and culminated in yet another wildfire threatening the town. We are all hopeful that this summer will finally be fire and smoke free, but the plants and trails are already quite dry. It feels good to be back here. I love living with my friend Kai, things feel good at the bike shop, and I’m getting my body used to four-hour rides being the norm again. I’m so thrilled to be back enjoying these trails! I don’t take a lot of photos of places I that are familiar, and the wildflowers are fairly moderate this year; however, I snapped a few photos on my ride today.
I’ve also been very busy with my work as a board member of the Oregon Timber Trail Alliance. I recently wrote this article about my 2017 ride on the Oregon Timber Trail for The Town Bicycle.
I hope you are well and enjoying the fullness of summer and the long days!
have a wonder-filled summer!
Thank you!
Another nice post and great pics.
In what capacity are you educating future health care people?
Take care and keep up the good work,
Uncle Rick
Hello! I teach/taught Human Anatomy and Physiology in Santa Barbara. Most of those students are preparing for a nursing program, but also things like physical therapy, radiology, and sonography.
Thanks.
