Hello from Oakridge, Oregon! It has been a wild ride and since I don’t have wifi at home writing a blog post has fallen low on the priority list. Following a semester of teaching I had a great drive up to Oregon, stopping to see several friends along the way. It is pouring rain yet again this very moment! Now, living in severe fire country I can not complain about rain. And yet… it has seriously been raining 4 days out of 7 since I arrived in Oregon almost a month ago. Apparently, this hearkens back to the good old days where Oregon was actually wet.
The trails are a muddy mess and I’ve only been able to get on them a few days. Unfortunately on my very first ride up here I slipped on a wet root and took a hard fall on my knee which took me out of commission for two weeks. It seems to be working well again, though unexpected rotation or force still resort in a little stab of pain — hopefully this is not an injury that will haunt me. Because of the rain, work at the bike shop has also been slow. That said, I’m on the clock soon, so here are some pretty pictures.
Jesse came to visit! I didn’t take any pictures while he was here. It rained a bunch, but we managed a few rides, a hike, and a nice soak in natural warm springs. I also purchased and built up my new bike! A beautiful Revel Ranger that I am still waiting to ride when the trails dry out!
Time to clock in; have a wonderful day! <3
Love the bling, rain, visit, spring soak and ride!
Pretty flowers! Thanks for sharing. Nice looking bike. Sorry to hear that you hurt your knee again, I hope it doesn’t cause you too much trouble.
Take care,
At least it’s the other knee! ha!
wonderful flowers, nice that you have rain, however it affects you riding and work. Wish you could send a bit of that to New Mexico! hope the knee heals well and doesn’t cause you too much trouble here on out. Hope to see you in August, all things permitting
Love the photos (and I hear OR is excellent mushroom hunting country). I hope your knee is recovered.
