Life has been high speed lately! I’m teaching, my foot has been improving (incrementally) , and we have been busy in the garden. Though really that barely begins to describe all the things requiring our attention lately. Today is no exception, so please accept this series of photos as a brief update! One of the things we did is travel to Lake Tahoe for our first music festival in 2.5 years. It was wonderful to be dancing outdoors to live music with an excited crowd!
We are working hard to get our spring garden going; expanding the number of beds we have and digging up top soil from a friend’s yard (thanks, Robbie!) to fill these new containers. Meanwhile our flowers, especially the succulents have been dazzling us with beautiful displays.
We still try and make time for social, racial, and economic justice work, and while most of that involves writing emails or making phone calls for public comments in city and county meetings, sometimes we get to show up in person to make a statement about what we believe in. Did you know that the average price for a two-bedroom rental in Santa Barbara is about $3000 per month? And that’s if you can even find a place…
Finally, we snuck out this weekend for a quick overnight bikepacking trip from our door.
I hope you are having a wonderful spring. With love…
Very nice pics! Glad to hear that things are going well for you and Jesse.
